Nonviolence Training with Peacemaker Teams

csdcd
We have been seeing increasing numbers of protests and vigils as our country wrestles with racial and gender injustices and the nation. For the most part, protests have been and remain peaceful, but sometimes a small or larger group can turn to violence. Police, too, struggle with their response. Looking ahead, the Diocese is offering training to help us de-escalate those tending toward violence and to guide participants in remaining peaceful. If you are interested in the training, you can sign up here.

Prayers & Prayer List

For the Victims of Addiction

O blessed Lord, you ministered to all who came to you. Look with compassion upon all who through addiction have lost their health and freedom. Restore to them the assurance of your unfailing mercy, remove from them the fears that beset them, strengthen them in the work of their recovery, and to those who care for them, give patient understanding and persevering love. Amen.

For those on the Front Lines

Thank you for health care workers, grocery workers, cleaners, librarians, postal workers, and more. We are beginning to notice more deeply the many marginalized for centuries especially African-Americans and Native Americans. Let us pray.

Prayer List

We ask that our parishioners pray for Alli, Anne, Bob, Carolyn, Connor, Elisabeth, Jenna, George, Kathleen, Larry, Sharon, Rose, Millie, Joell, Trudy, Mario, Connie, Mark and Scott

Celebrating Creation

Prayer for Joy in God's Creation O heavenly Father, who filled the world with beauty: Open our eyes to behold your gracious hand in all your works; that, rejoicing in your whole creation, we may learn to serve you with gladness; for the sake of him through whom all things were made, your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer for the Power of the Spirit Among the People of God

God of all power and love,
we give thanks for your unfailing presence
and the hope you provide in times of uncertainty and loss.
Send your Holy Spirit to enkindle in us your holy fire.
Revive us to live as Christ’s body in the world:
a people who pray, worship, learn,
break bread, share life, heal neighbors,
bear good news, seek justice, rest and grow in the Spirit.
Wherever and however we gather,
unite us in common prayer and send us in common mission,
that we and the whole creation might be restored and renewed,
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
