Restrictions for indoor worship services
|
We will continue to gather in person outside Saturday at 5:00 p.m. for Mass on the Grass and Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Everyone will wear a mask when entering and exiting the sanctuary and when in line for communion. You may mask throughout the service and please return to distancing. We encourage everyone eligible for the Covid vaccine to receive it for their own safety and for the love of neighbor.

No offering plate will be passed. Gifts will be collected online or in plates placed near the Church entrance.
|
|
Parking in the Metro Center parking lot is available. Press the button and take a ticket to enter. Please leave the entry ticket in the car so that it is readily available when exiting. Ushers will provide a ticket which you will need to exit. Both tickets will be needed in order to exit.

CHOW - Refurbished Pantry Opens Now!
|
Several weeks ago the pantry freezer stopped working and needed to be replaced. Thanks to parishioner Chris Mitchell, and her financial gift, we purchased a new freezer and refurbished the CHOW pantry, including installing new flooring, cleaning, and making a few compliance changes necessary to operate.
Thanks to Barb Stanton, Gene Stanton, Tom Savory, Jim Davidson, and Nancy McGorry for providing their time and commitment. We will re-open November 1st as planned.

Christ Church and Community of Grace have much in common in Christ. Community of Grace is a church plant led by Rev. Alicia Dixon-Garrard. Mother Elizabeth participated in podcasts for this group. ROOF/ CROSS REPAIR—WORK HAS BEGUN!
Roofers have taken the first steps to prepare the roof for Lupini to put the capstones and the cross back on the roof in the next few weeks.
|
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this project. Including the Diocese's grant of $5,000, and a matching grant of $10,000 from Landmarks Conservancy Sacred Sites, donations and pledges of over $70,000 have been received to date!

I cannot tell you how the light comes, but that it does. That it will. That it works its way into the deepest dark that enfolds you, though it may seem long ages in coming or arrive in a shape you did not foresee.

And so we pray we may turn ourselves toward the light giving thanks for Christ’s birth and this communion. May we lift our faces to let the light find us. May we bend our bodies to follow the arc it makes. May we open and open more and open still to the blessed light that comes. *
