The souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and no torment will ever touch them. In the eyes of the foolish they seemed to have died, and their departure was thought to be a disaster, and their going from us to be their destruction; but they are at peace. For though in the sight of others they were punished, their hope is full of immortality. Having been disciplined a little, they will receive great good, because God tested them and found them worthy of himself; like gold in the furnace he tried them, and like a sacrificial burnt offering he accepted them. We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Connie Alford Service: The funeral service for Connie Alford will take place at Christ Church at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 13th. A funeral luncheon will follow.
|

Visiting hours are from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 12th in the Lounge at Christ Church.
|
|
|
CHOW Pantry: During the holiday season we service both CHOW clients and walk-ins. Please consider donating holiday foods, such as stuffing, instant potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, ect., during the next two months for our local families in need.
|
|
Please consider purchasing a replacement floor tile for CHOW for $10. There will be a donation jar in the back of the Sanctuary from now through January.
|
|
|
|
Winter Warmth: Christ Church will continue our Winter Warmth project this year! We ask that parishioners drop off donations of hats, scarves, gloves, and/or umbrellas in the back of the church after worship service or during the church’s office hours.
|
|
|
Fall Congregation Survey: Soon you should hear from a church member via phone or email. Our Vestry once again is reaching out to be in touch with our parishioners to check in, confirm contact information, and to ask a few questions which will help our parish discern priorities and ministries in the year and years ahead.
