Sharing Christ’s Welcoming Love

Christ Episcopal Church welcomes all to our compassionate, diverse congregation as we strive to know God more deeply through worship, service, and fellowship. The first church in Binghamton, our outreach is a beacon of light in our downtown, urban setting. Christ Church is home to a CHOW® food pantry, Katie’s Clothing Closet, and Winter Warmth Project. Join us in person for Sunday worship service at 10:00 am or Tuesdays at Noon. Binghamton’s First Church

A historic parish with a future orientation

Christ Episcopal Church is a community of faith that has worshipped in downtown Binghamton, New York since 1810. As we look to the future, our commitment to serving the community of Binghamton is grounded in joyfully reverent worship and deeply rooted in the love of Jesus Christ. All are welcome at Christ Church, whatever your tradition, wherever you are on your journey of faith. Join us for worship each Sunday in the beauty of our 1851 Gothic Revival, bluestone church where generations have been nurtured in faith and inspired to serve others.

What do we believe?

  • God’s love is for all people. Followers of Jesus Christ are called to the ministry of reconciliation, bringing people closer to God and one another.
  • Engaging with scripture, receiving the Eucharist, and connecting with people of faith makes sense of our lives, fosters hope, and strengthens us.
  • Doubt and questioning are normal on our spiritual journey. The wisdom and support of others in Christian community support us as we grow in faith.
  • The Church exists to make Christ’s love known, serve others, and create a world healed by love.

Our CHOW® Food Pantry provides food to needy local residents

Christ Church is a safe space for all, including those of the LGBTQAI + community, seekers, and refugees. We believe in love, peace, and equality for all.
